Fairhurst Buckley’s new Associate Director achieves CAA status and membership of ACCA

Fairhurst Buckley’s head of finance, Luke Atkinson, is celebrating becoming a member of the ACCA after qualifying as a fully Chartered Certified Accountant.

Luke (pictured), who was recently appointed as Associate Director at the property specialist firm, joined the finance team at Fairhurst Buckley in 2008 since when he has been determined to continually develop his financial skills. Luke studied for his CCA qualification at home, in his own time so as not to disrupt his daily responsibilities in the office, using online programmes and support tools. Luke explains:

“Continuing to develop my career and skills is important to me. Following the course modules has given me more insight as to how companies can benefit from setting time aside for strategic planning.  Company Values and Business Goals are very important as well as understanding Critical Success Factors (CSF) and setting KPI’s to monitor your performance.

“I hope that my newly qualified status will help me to provide the best financial advice and ensure that Fairhurst Buckley continues to have a healthy, financial future.”

Managing Director, Nigel Blyth added:

“I am delighted for Luke who has worked hard to achieve his CCA status which we have been very happy to support. We actively encourage our team with a plan of CPD to ensure they are given the opportunity to be the best they can be.

By becoming a fully qualified accountant, Luke will also be able to ensure Fairhurst Buckley are always following and achieving the highest professional standards in our accounting practices and the treasury services we provide to our clients.”
