Fairhurst Buckley builds team with three senior appointments.

Following the fruitful merger of Buckley Commercial and Fairhurst Estates in March 2020, Fairhurst Buckley are celebrating its 3rd anniversary with three new senior appointments.

Despite the post-Covid challenges that have impacted many businesses, the property and estate management sectors across the UK are showing little signs of a slowdown. This is evident at Stockport based Fairhurst Buckley who have recently been awarded a string of new projects and recruited three new heavyweights to roles within their senior management team.

Chartered Surveyors Andy Riches and Mike Donohoe join as Associate Directors and Allen Tiplady heads up the Commercial Property Management department, joining South Manchester’s largest and most experienced team of Chartered Surveyors, Commercial Property Experts and RICS Registered Valuers.

Andy Riches, a Chartered Surveyor and RICS Registered Valuer, has over 30 years broad-based real estate experience in the UK and joins as Associate Director. Previously, Andy has been a director of Stockport based Roberts & Roberts and Head of Valuation at Edward Simmons, Manchester. Andy’s roles at Fairhurst Buckley include developing an expanding valuation team, as well as offering lease advisory consultancy to a growing national and local client base.

Andy commented:
“Having worked in and around the Northwest for most of my working life, I am looking forward to developing new opportunities in the local market.  Fairhurst Buckley’s diversity of service offering puts us in a unique position, providing me and the team here with the perfect tools to grow this area of the business.”

Allen Tiplady, MRICS and an experienced Commercial Property Negotiator, is well connected in the local area having previously spent 13 years at Buckley Commercial. Allen is tasked with heading up and growing the Commercial Property Management element of the business.

After taking time away, Allen is pleased to be back in the property market:

“For the past nine years I have dedicated my life to creating a successful family business and raising a family. Now the kids have flown the nest, my wife runs the business full time and I’m now looking forward to resuming my surveying career. I’m delighted to be working with Dave Buckley again. It’s also exciting to be able to offer clients a much wider portfolio of associated property services.”

Joining the Building Consultancy team is Chartered Building Surveyor Mike Donohoe.
A surveyor of over 25 years’ experience Mike was elected to the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 1996. Previous roles include senior positions in national property and real estate consultancies including Gerald Eve LLP, Lambert Smith Hampton, Capita and Cassidy and Ashton.

Mike commented:

“This is an exciting time to be joining the team. With over 25 years in the industry, I’m looking forward to helping shape the future growth strategy for Fairhurst Buckley, particularly in respect of my specialisms including building surveying, access consultancy, project management and dilapidations.”
