Richard Sellers

As head of lease advisory, Richard is also responsible for property management and rating and qualified as Chartered Surveyor in October 1988 and an RICS Registered Valuer since 2018

After graduating in 1985, Richard worked in private practice in Leeds before joining the property department of National Tyre Service Ltd (NTS) here in Stockport in 1990 as an Estates Surveyor.  It is no surprise that Richard’s experience covers rent reviews, lease renewals, property management and rating throughout the UK.

In February 2002, Richard joined Fairhurst Estates Ltd, initially dealing with the lease advisory, property management and rating for NTS.  Due to his wealth of experience, Richard has also acted for Halfords Autocare, Speedy Hire, Plumbase, Goodyear, Floors-2-Go, Bathwick Tyres and a number of private clients throughout the UK.

Richard has a natural knack of being able to put people at ease and deals with a variety of people at all levels from the “board room” to the “shop floor”.  Working in the tyre and exhaust industry for many years, he has the greatest respect for the branch managers as they are a crucial “cog in the wheel”.

An active member of the Stockport Garrick Theatre, anyone who has the pleasure of meeting Richard will immediately recognise the thespian in him. Off the stage he loves cooking and gardening and his latest read? As the Crow Flies by Jeffrey Archer.
