Chris Hobbs

Chris holds an MSc in Building Surveying from the University College of Estate Management and has accumulated over seven years of valuable experience in the industry.

He began his career at INTEGA Building Consultancy in Manchester City Centre, where he developed a solid foundation across a variety of services including dilapidations, acquisition surveys, schedules of condition, and contract administration.

In 2022, Chris embraced the flexibility of remote working by joining Bournemouth-based firm Sircle. From his base in the Northwest, he managed a diverse portfolio of clients, delivering project management and contract administration for refurbishment projects. Notably, he oversaw a two-year programme of Latent Defect Surveys across 1,000 new-build residential properties.

Throughout his career, Chris has carried out a significant number of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) surveys for both public and private sector clients.

Beyond the day job, Chris is an enthusiastic cook with a strong preference for spicy food – curry being his go-to dish. He’s a keen tennis player, Stockport County supporter, and drummer (although drumming has taken a back seat for the sake of being a good neighbour).

A committed season ticket holder at Edgeley Park, he’s followed the club through its recent successes with passion – although buying a doer-upper home has meant missing a few away games! In rare quiet moments, Chris enjoys reading and recently finished The Book of Trespass by Nick Hayes.

Any secret ambitions? “I’d like to own a classic car one day – maybe an old Volvo or BMW.”
