Andy Riches

A recent recruit of Fairhurst Buckley, Andy joined the senior management team as an Associate Director in November 2022 to support and develop a busy valuation team, as well as offering lease advisory consultancy serving an expanding client base.

A Chartered Surveyor with over 30 years broad-based experience in the UK Real Estate Market, Andy became a director of Stockport based Roberts and Roberts, before taking up a role as Head of Valuation at Edward Symmons, Manchester. Subsequently he set up a residential survey and valuation practice, followed by a move back into commercial property to deliver real estate consultancy throughout the UK and Ireland.

Away from the office Andy is a keen runner (when not injured), enjoys cycling (when it’s neither cold or wet), and a season ticket holder at Manchester United (so not just when they’re winning). And a holiday of choice? “In various parts of Spain and Portugal, enjoying a good read – John Grisham is ideal – great food and red wine.”

At the age of 50, Andy achieved a personal best time of below 90 mins for a Half Marathon but admits it’s been all downhill since. At least his latest read – SAS Rogue Heroes – shows the spirit is still willing!
