John MacMillan

John is a Director of the business and leads the Building Consultancy team. Having been elected to the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 2004 and with 20 years-experience under his belt working in the commercial property market, John’s previous roles include senior positions in national property and real estate consultancies including Gerald Eve LLP, RLB, Anderton Gables, and Rapleys.

John’s specialisms include building surveying, project management and dilapidations where he represented the Tenant on the landmark case of Grove Investment v Cape Building Products (claim in excess of £10million).

Away from work, John is lucky to live in the Peak District where unwinding is a way of life! As well as enjoying time with his young family, walking with his crazy Cocker Spaniel, Busby, and holding a season ticket at Old Trafford, this property guru is also a self-confessed petrol head. His passion for anything on two wheels has recently seen him fulfil a lifelong dream of owning a Harley Davidson. Now that’s a new look in commercial property office attire.
